Biography

Charlotte graduated from the UCL BSc Psychology and Language Sciences programme in 2015. An abstract of her research project was presented at the Eighteenth International Congress of Phonetic Sciences. She was then awarded two studentships to complete the MSc Clinical Neurosciences programme at King's College London. Charlotte was awarded the Sackler Institute Prize for highest overall mark. Throughout 2016, Charlotte worked as an honorary research assistant on the Brain Imaging in Babies study (BIBs) at King's College London. In 2017 she returned to UCL and the Whittington Health NHS Trust working as a Research Assistant at the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. 

Research Themes
Research Summary

My research interests include the determinants of and preventative mechanisms for disease risk and health inequality. I have particularly focused on life course approaches towards optimal child development using language, autism and nutritional deficiency as exemplar outcomes. I have expertise in research methodology ranging from community qualitative analyses to international randomised controlled trial.

 

Teaching Summary

 

I am the Lead Programme Developer for a new Master of Science (MSc) programme in frugal health technology. I offer and supervise research placements to students completing the MSc Health Psychology programme. Lastly, I contributed towards internal assignment and thesis marking for courses the MSc Clinical and Public Health Nutrition course.
