Biography

Domini is Lecturer, Educational Leadership at Institute of Education, UCL co-leading and teaching across a range of leadership masters modules.  Domini holds a Doctorate in Education and an MA in Lifelong Learning.

She is passionate about adults achieving their potential and addressing obstacles to achieving that and her research interests are in:

  • Marketing in educational settings
  • Internationalisation of higher education
  • Interculturalism and early educational leadership in urban education
  • Workplace learning and wellbeing
  • Older workplaces and later life learning
Previously, as a qualified post compulstory education teacher, she has taught marketing at adult and community education. She has a background in marketing and public relations both in the public and private sectors and in international development, having worked for several years at the Commonwealth Secretariat. She has worked on the UK national media as a Literary Editor.  She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Committee member on their Levitt Group, a special interest group for senior marketers.

Research Summary

Domini was previously a London Education Research Unit Research Fellow recipient (2011). Externally funded research has included a two year project  (2014-2016) Research Learning Communities (Educational Endowment Foundation) and ' A New Direction (2013) an investigation into the art and cultural engagement activities in London Schools. Recent research has been located in higher education focusing on older workers and their workplace learning and development.

MA Educational Leadership - co-lead on one module , Leadership for the Learning Community.
MA AELM (Applied Educational Leadership and Management), core tutor on two distance learning modules Leading for Educational Change and Management, Leading for the Learning Community.
