Research Summary

Daniella Lock's PhD research identifies key problems associated with the protection of rights in the context of national security crises, and seeks to evaluate arguments as to the causes of these problems, such as those presented in legal theory on the inability of law to significantly constrain executive power. 

Teaching Summary

Daniella Lock currently teaches Public Law and Jurisprudence at UCL Laws. She has also taught a number of different topics on the 'Aspects of National Security Law' LLM Module at UCL, and has delivered guest lectures and seminars on surveillance law for LLM Courses at Cambridge University and Queen Mary's School of Law.
