Research Summary

Dr Davoodian’s research in ‘Street Lighting Glare’ project seeks to use some of the latest tools to investigate glare to develop a better understanding of the subject, so that the design of street lighting and vehicle lights can be improved.

Her other research project ‘Mesopically Enhanced Road Lighting (MERLIN)’ aims to understand the way vision and visual performance are affected by changes in the specteral composition and level of lighting when performing the visual tasks typical of residential roads at night in order to enable lighting design that is better for street users whilst consuming less energy.
