I received my degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of
Patras, Greece in 2007. During my studies i spent my summer placement at
NESTLE S.A., working as a quality assurance officer in the coffee
production line.
In November 2007 i started my PhD at the Department of Biochemical
Engineering in UCL with a scholarship from IMRC, undertaken in
collaboration with the Department of Chemical Engineering. The main
focus of my work was to investigate the application of optimisation
techniques for the synthesis of downstream purification processes
employed in the biopharmaceutical industry.
Following my PhD, i worked as a research assistant on optimisation-based
techniques for minimising the energy consumption of a promising
liquid-liquid desalination process.
In September 2011, i took a teaching fellowship position at the Chemical
Engineering Department of UCL, teaching Transport Proccesses I
(CENG1001), Process Heat Transfer (CENG2006), Engineering
Experimentation (CENG1003) and Process Plant Design (CENG3006) subjects,
as well as various MEng and MSc research projects.
Currently, i am a lecturer at the School of Energy and Resources at UCL Australia in Adelaide, teaching Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Water Resources Management
in a postgraduate level as well as supervising MSc projects.
