Biography

Graham has worked in the IT profession since 1981.  Having gained experience in the defence, publishing and financial services sectors Graham then worked for 19 years in support of pharmaceutical R&D for Pfizer Ltd at its laboratories in Sandwich Kent in a variety of IT roles including Database Administrator, Project/Programme Management, Technical Team Leadership and Service Delivery Management responsible for provision of IT support for over 150 applications used by 12,000 scientists worldwide.  Graham worked directly in assisting many drug project teams including Viagra, Maraviroc, Champix and Voriconazole.

Graham was instrumental in the creation, definition and evangelism of the Application Service Delivery Management model throughout Pfizer and led the transition programme for moving the support of key applications to an outsourced provider model.  Graham was also a member of the “Blue Sky” Strategy Team who, between 2004 and 2008, created a radical and far reaching vision for future healthcare provision.  As a result of this work Graham was invited to present these concepts to a working party of the OECD considering new research models for healthcare innovation in November 2006 and subsequently invited to present at Innogen courses and conferences and at BITS Foundation meetings on this topic.

After a period working as a Senior Consultant in a small consulting firm in both the Pharmaceutical and Oil & Gas sectors Graham accepted the position of Head of Research IT Applications and Support at UCL in September 2011.
