Biography

Professor in Science and Technology Studies. Jon writes on contemporary technologies (mobile phones, ID cards) and the history of modern science and technology. He is the author of Science in the Twentieth Century and Beyond for Polity Press. He was the editor of the British Journal for the History of Science, and is now editor of the new open-access journal BJHS Themes.
