Biography

Lauren graduated from Portsmouth University in 2008 with a BSc in Psychology and gained a MSc in Health Psychology from Bath University in 2012. Following the completion of her MSc she worked at Queen Mary University of London, where she was involved with the International Breast Intervention Study II (IBIS-II), which aims to investigate whether the drug Anastrozole is effective in preventing breast cancer in women at high risk of the disease.

Lauren joined the HBRC in January 2015 and is currently working alongside Alice Forster on her post-doctoral fellowship, entitled ‘Why are girls from Black and Asian minority ethnic backgrounds less likely to receive the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine? Developing and testing a complex psychological intervention to increase informed uptake.’
