Research Summary

Research interests: security, privacy, identity and trust, which I study from a human factors, organisational, and societal perspective.

I study and re-design authentication and access control mechanisms which people cannot understand and don't want to use, and which drain organisational productivity for little protection.  I wokr with several major companies, and have carried out studies for UK, US and German government agencies.

We also develop innovtive approaches to security awareness, education and training.
