After spending more than ten years in the University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain), first as a graduate student and then as a lecturer in history of psychology, I moved to University College London in September 2012. Since then, I work in an ESRC-funded project in collaboration with David Shanks and Tom Beesley that aims at unraveling the contribution of associative learning mechanisms to the guidance of attention in visual search. My interests also extend to other applications of learning and memory research, including a project on the origins of superstitions and biases in causal induction leaded by Helena Matute and her research team, Labpsico. If you are interested in my research, you can find copies of my papers in the Publications section of my website mvadillo.com. You can also download my CV from this link.
