Research Summary

My primary research aim is to determine how the human brain represents spatial information about the natural world, and how this information contributes to our memories for past events. In order to investigate these questions, I use a combination of neuroimaging and behavioural analyses in human populations. I have completed my PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging at UCL, supervised by Prof. Eleanor Maguire. During my PhD I conducted a series of experiments using high-resolution functional MRI and multi-voxel pattern analysis in order to investigate the representation of individual episodic memories within the human hippocampus. I am currently working as a post-doctoral researcher with Dr. Hugo Spiers at the Institute of Behavioural Neuroscience, where I am using fMRI to investigate memory and spatial navigation.
