UCL Medical School (Royal Free Campus)
Rowland Hill Street
  • Senior Research Associate
  • Primary Care & Population Health
  • Institute of Epidemiology & Health
  • Faculty of Pop Health Sciences

Milena has a degree (BSc/MSc equivalent) in Statistical and Economic Sciences and a PhD in Statistics, both from the University of Padua (Italy). Her PhD thesis was on methods for correlated survival times in genetic studies. She worked for several years at the Biostatistics Group of the University of Manchester where she strengthened her expertise especially in multilevel data analysis. Before joining UCL in March 2014, she was a Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Senior Statistician at the North West Institute for Bio-Health Informatics (Health Methodology Research Group, University of Manchester).

Research interests

   - survival analysis

   - methods for longitudinal and multilevel data, especially random effects models

   - the treatment of missing values

   - latent variable modelling
