Biography

Maria Rosa is Marie Curie Fellow at UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources. 

Previously she was Post Doctoral Fellow at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies (Pisa, Italy), where she obtained her Ph.D in Management.

She has a huge experience in multiple international research projects, mostly funded by the European Commission.

Maria Rosa has also a longtime experience as a consultant of business companies in the field of the environmental management, environmental tools and the EU Industrial Emission Directive. 

 

Research Summary


Maria Rosa's research focuses on the eco-innovation processes and products and their interrelationship with competitive and environmental performance at business level.

In particular, her research aims to investigate processes through which firms adopt and operate eco-innovation, paying attention to the value creation and the value appropriation behind eco-innovation decisions.

Other research topics include: climate change, sustainable consumption and production, pollution prevention, life cycle costing, green public procurement. 










Teaching Summary


Her teaching experience is mainly concentrated on executive teaching and training to business companies and industrial associations and integrates theory with practice. It is characterized by a close integration between academic research and company engagement.

Her executive teaching is also informed by my professional experience in the consultant spin-off of Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, with whom I am collaborating since 2009.

Trainings and seminars covered a diverse range of topics, such as environmental and sustainability management, green innovations, organizational strategies and models.
