Biography

Stacey McGowan Holloway is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering at University College London. Stacey also holds honorary contracts at UCLH and The Christie, Manchester. 

She is a state registered clinical scientist with over two years post registration experience employed as a radiotherapy physicist at Cambridge University Hospitals between 2014 and 2017. Stacey completed her Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge and her Masters and Bachelors degrees at the University of Birmingham. During her PhD she spent 6 months working at the proton centre at the Paul Scherrer Institute. 

Her research interests lie in the area of treatment plan analysis and robustness in proton therapy, image guidance for adaptive planning and designing and implementing in-house treatment planning scripts.

Teaching Summary

Stacey has co-supervised Medical Physics MSc projects and tutored FRCR (Clinical Oncology) doctors in Radiotherapy Physics. Stacey will teach radiotherapy treatment planning on the Medical Physics course in 2017/18.
