Biography
I work as a software engineer in the Centre for Computational Science at UCL, developing lightweight grid middleware and enabling tools for ‘e-Science’. I have a first degree in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham and a Masters degree in Advanced Software Engineering from the University of Manchester, where I was responsible for implementing the WS-Security specification in Perl for use by the WSRF::Lite toolkit. Currently I am lead developer on the AHE project and involved in developing a toolkit for the Virtual Physiological Human Initiative. In addition, I’m working on a PhD in Computer Science, investigating the design and development of lightweight grid middleware and resource allocation solutions.
Research Themes
Research Summary
My research interests cover many aspects of high performance and grid computing. I am particularly interested in the development of appropriate levels of abstraction to ease user interaction with grid based HPC resources, and with the development of computational market places for the allocation of workloads between computational resources.
