A former primary teacher and deputy head, I have a background in school improvement as a cross-phase consultant.  I have worked in a consultancy capacity for the Fischer Family Trust, to develop and deliver programmes on the use of data to schools nationally.  I also worked for the National Literacy Trust, where I specialised in working with schools and other settings to develop reading for pleasure.  I have expertise in mathematics education and am involved in the Let’s Think (Cognitive Acceleration) project with King’s College, London.

Research Summary

I design and lead bespoke professional development programmes for schools and school clusters.  Specific areas of interests and expertise include: lesson study; leadership of teaching and learning; collaborative leadership (within and between settings); impact evaluation; innovative leadership of professional development; collaboartive enquiry and evidence informed practice.

I am also a member of the Let's Think Forum, with a particular expertise in mathematics programmes for early years and lower primary phases.
