Biography
Tom Macdonald obtained his PhD at the University of South Australia in 2016 on the synthesis of inorganic nanomaterials for water splitting and photovoltaic devices.  Prior to this, he completed a Bachelor of Technology (Forensic and Analytical Chemistry) and Bachelor of Science (Honors) at Flinders University in 2011. His postgraduate research focused on the functionalization of carbon nanotubes and the synthesis of nanocrystals. Tom was awarded a Ramsay Memorial Fellowship in 2017 after completing a post-doc under the supervision of Prof. Ivan Parkin in the Department of Chemistry at UCL.
