Biography

Thomas S. Miller received his MChem (2009) and PhD (2014) at the University of Warwick where he studied electrochemical applications of carbon nanomaterials. He now works in the Dept. of Chemical Engineering at UCL. In his current research he is studying membrane interfaces for electrochemical process and developing the synthesis and characterisation of 3D/2D materials/composites for energy applications.

Research Summary

Thomas S. Miller currently works as a research associate in the Dept. of Chemical Engineering at UCL. His research interests span from fundamental electrochemistry to materials discovery/characterisation and the development of devices for electrochemical energy storage and generation. In his recent work he has produced new methods for the scalable production of 2D materials and created carbon nitride composites for application in fuel cells, batteries, electrolyzers and supercapacitors.
