Professor Cunningham's main research interests are in the field of Orthognathic treatment for individuals with severe dentofacial deformity. Additionally, patient centered research into the process and outcomes of both orthodontic and orthognathic treatment.
Teaching Summary
Professor Cunningham has educational roles at international, national and local levels. These roles include innovative development of teaching material; national curriculum development and quality management roles. She is currently Programme Director for the MClinDent postgraduate programme in Orthodontics: for the last 7 years she has been responsible for running this postgraduate programme which is one of the largest Orthodontic programmes in Europe, with approximately 30-35 taught graduates at any one time.
