Dr Rodriguez qualified as a dentist in Venezuela and moved to the UK in 2001 to complete the Master of Science in prosthetic Dentistry and the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dental Sciences at UCL Eastman Dental Institute. From 2004 until 2006 he was employed as a Senior House Officer at the Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust.
Following this, Dr Rodriguez was successfully appointed as a Clinical Research Fellow at King's College London Dental Institute and from 2006 until 2009, completed his doctorate titled 'The measurement of tooth wear in vitro and in vivo using profilometry and surface matching software'.

Dr Rodriguez is currently involved in the teaching of postgraduate students in removable Prosthodontics. He also supervises postgraduate students on their research projects, all in the field of tooth wear.
