Security & Crime Science
Security and Crime Science (SCS) is part of the UCL Jill Dando Institute, the first academic institution in the world devoted specifically to reducing crime and terrorism through teaching, research and public policy analysis. We host the national Doctoral Training Centre in Security Science (UCL SECReT) funded by EPSRC and run the UK?s first Countering Organised Crime and Terrorism MSc. An interdisciplinary environment, SCS brings together politicians and designers with scientists from various relevant disciplines and those on the front line responding to crime and terrorism. The department has numerous links with researchers and institutions in the USA, Australia and Northern Europe.
