Tim's Vermeer is a documentary film about the use of the camera obscura by the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. It takes as a starting point my book Vermeer's Camera (Oxford University Press 2001). It is produced by the American stage magicians Penn and Teller. I appear. The film premiered at the Telluride Festival in Colorado in September 2013 and is being shown in festivals later in 2013 in Toronto and New York. It has been acquired by Sony Classics for general release. It was nominated for an OSCAR and shortlisted for a BAFTA

Member of the organising committee for an exhibition of Vermeer's masterpiece 'The Art of Painting' at the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna. I advised on the building of a reconstruction of Vermeer's studio, with a camera obscura.
