Ana Abram is a chartered landscape architect and urbanist who bridges her work between academia, research and practice. She has lead design and research teams from winning design concepts at several international competitions while collaborating with internationally recognized practices like Gustafson Porter + Bowman and Turenscape, as well as delivered projects through all stages to completion, including prestigious Chelsea Barracks, and post-Olympic development International Quarter London. Her research work is based on an understanding of physical, natural and ecological contexts through complex design and computational syntheses, while engaging with territorial, urban and natural systems. She is a co-founder of the practice Amphibious Lab, which focuses on dynamic landscapes and their interfaces with anthropogenic environments. The work of the practice has received awards like Holcim award for Sustainable construction and has been exhibited and published internationally throughout Europe, North America, and Asia, the latest at the Venice Biennale 2018. Ana has lectured at leading global architectural and design institutions including the Architectural Association, University of Melbourne and AIA - New York.
