I am an associate professor in the Department of Information Studies at University College London (UCL), where I teach and do research within the areas of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Before joining UCL, I worked as a research fellow at the Individual and Collective Reasoning team (ICR) within the Computer Science and Communications (CSC) research unit of the University of Luxembourg. I have also worked as a research assistant at the Information Systems Lab of the Institute of Computer Science of FO.R.T.H. in Greece.  I hold a PhD and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Crete and a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I am a member of the Hellenic Association for Artificial Intelligence (EETN), co-director of the DIS Knowledge, Information and Data Science group, and member of the Applied Logic Group. I have served in the organisation and programme committees of several international Artificial Intelligence conferences, and have published more than 70 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in the areas of Knowledge Representation, Nonmonotonic Reasoning, Semantic Web, Ambient Intelligence and Digital Humanities.
