Biography
I am a postdoctoral researcher in Amaia Calderón-Larrañaga’s research group at the Aging Research Center of Karolinska Institutet. I hold a Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a Master’s in Quantitative Methods for Epidemiological Research from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
Research Summary
Our research puts geriatric syndromes, mortality, and the biological mechanisms of aging at the centre, and studies them through the lenses of dietary patterns, foods, nutrients, and cooking techniques. Although observational in nature, we strengthen our investigations with a combination of longitudinal designs, use of biomarkers, extensive control for potential confounding, and a range of sensitivity analyses.
