Biography

I am a Teaching Fellow and International Academic Coordinator at UCL Centre for Languages and International Education (CLIE). As such, I design and deliver academic programmes for international students both in London and abroad.
Since 2007, I have set up UCL’s foundation programme in the humanities and social sciences (the UPCH), UCL's Centre for Preparatory Studies in Astana, Kazakhstan, and the CLIE's first pre-masters programme, the postgraduate Diploma in Academic Research and Methods for UCL Qatar, where I was also contributed to the writing support offered to masters students.

I still head the Diploma in Academic Research and Methods at UCL Qatar whilst also being involved in the development of the CLIE's new pre-masters - including the pre-masters Diploma in Architecture for the Bartlett.

I also work at the CALT on the 'Connected Curriculum' initiative, and am part of  the HEA / Arena Fellowship pool of assessors.

I hold a PhD in French Studies from UCL, and a Maitrise (MA) and Licence (BA) in History from La Sorbonne University, Paris.

Research Summary

My current research focus is on international higher education, in particular how to support and develop academic literacies, criticality and research autonomy in international contexts. I am currently working on global / critical citizenship (definition, theory and implications for higher education).

My  research interests also include collective memory and contemporary interpretations of the past, Modern European history in general, and European ethos and ideals in the 20th century.

Teaching Summary
