Research Summary

I work in differential geometry, primarily within the area of Ricci flow and focusing on the so-called "Pseudolocality" phenomenon. Loosely speaking, this asserts that if the curvature is initially controlled on a local region, then it remains controlled for a definite amount of time. This is only well understood in the "almost-Euclidean" setting, i.e. where the form of the initial control imposes that the curvature is (in some sense) close to the Euclidean curvature. I'm interested in understanding how this phenomenon extends outside an "almost-Euclidean" framework, with a particular focus on various "almost-hyperbolic" situations.
