Biography

Ahmed is a Teaching Fellow and a PhD Candidate at the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management (CPM). In the past few years, he had several teaching and research roles at the Bartlett School of Built Environment, and the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management. 

Prior to joining UCL, he had 14 years of project management and facility and asset management industry experience in leading technical and managerial roles in the UK and the Middle East. Ahmed's industry experience is in Construction Project Management, Facility Management, Asset Management, BIM and Automation in the Built Environment. He is a Certified Member of the Institute of Workplace and Facility Management (IWFM) since 2014 and a Professional Member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) since 2015.

Teaching Summary

Ahmed is a Teaching Fellow in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Management at the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management (CPM). His current teaching role involves:
Module Leader for Building Information Modelling (BIM) Module.
Teach in Several Modules and MSc Programmes including:
- Project Management
- BIM
- Managing Infrastructure Projects and Programmes-
Work with the team in the Design of the new Digital Engineering Management MSc Programme.
Provide formal and informal assessment/marking for students in several programmes and modules.
Provide administrative support to MSc Programmes in the institute including to prepare/edit course material, lectures, and reading lists in UCL information system (Moodle)


Prior to his current role, Ahmed worked as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant (PGTA) at UCL MSc programme namely "Digital Innovation in Built Asset Management (DIBAM)”. He taught in several modules.
Ahmed has also contributed to other areas of this program such as curriculum development, administration and grading/assessment of students' work.
