Research so far has focused on objective analysis of the operational performance of new Social Infrastructure facilities. This work has sought to benchmark these facilities according to their form of investment as well as procurement method used, with a view to discerning the impact of these aspects on operational and whole life cost and performance. Specific investigations have sought to comment on the theoretical reduction in whole life cost of facilities made able, and incentivsed, through integrated forms of contracting for facility construction and operational servicing.
