Aidan O'Sullivan is Associate Professor in Energy and Artificial Intelligence at UCL Energy Institute, where he leads the Energy Systems and Artificial Intelligence Lab and the department's Data Analytics research theme. He is also the founding course director of the Energy Systems and Data Analytics MSc, an innovative programme that combines the study of energy systems and sustainability with data science and machine learning.
Prior to joining UCL Aidan was awarded a PhD from the department of Mathematics Imperial College London for his work on Bayesian Latent Variable Models. He subsequently joined MIT as a postdoctoral researcher in the Civil Engineering Department as part of the Intelligent Transport Systems Lab. This position also took him to Singapore as part of the Singapore MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART).
Aidan was awarded a Turing Fellowship in 2018 from the Alan Turing Institute, the UK's leading centre for AI and data science research.
