Biography
My academic and research background has mainly been in psychology in the context of colorectal cancer screening and diagnosis. My PhD investigated future screening invitees' preferences for different colorectal cancer screening tests after they had taken the relevant advantages and disadvantages into account, with a particular focus on CT colonography. Prior to my PhD, I was involved with studies comparing symptomatic patients' experiences of CT colonography with those of alternative whole-colon tests.

Research Summary
The focus of my role as a Research Associate is informed choice in cancer screening: the principle that invitees should be aware of the risks, costs, and benefits of screening when making a decision on whether to undergo a test. I am also involved with studies of patients' experiences of colorectal cancer screening tests in the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, specifically colonoscopy and bowel scope (flexible sigmoidoscopy).
