Dr Antonio Rojas GarcĂa is a senior postdoctoral researcher in the Mental Health Policy Research Unit (MHPRU), at the Division of Psychiatry, in which he works for several projects on mental health and social inequalities. Prior to joining the MHPRU, he has been working for the Public Health Policy Evaluation Unit, at the Imperial College London, on exploring the use of intersectionality to address health inequalities in applied health. He has also been working for the Department of Applied Health Research at the UCL, where he has been part of a range of projects on health and social care services, mental health and public health, on the use of research evidence in policy and decision-making, behaviour change, delayed discharge, and neuroimaging. Furthermore, he has regularly contributed to teaching and MSc and PhD students supervision.
Additionally, Antonio has led several studies and projects about mental health, social inequalities and health and social care services. His research interests include different elements such as i) mental health and behavioural sciences, ii) the social determinants of health and public health, iii) and research methods, evidence synthesis, meta-analysis, and advanced statistical methods.
