My work engages the collective intelligence of the group to solve the complex challenges of health infrastructure planning and design. This research stems from collaborative design, having previously developed the Collective Intelligence Support Protocol to deliver an award-winning design by an international team of 11 people working remotely. Living Grounds won second prize out of 1749 submissions at the 2014 Jacques Rougerie Competition, in partnership with the French Academy and UNESCO. As a healthcare architect at Medical Architecture, I currently work on major hospital infrastructure in the UK and internationally. In previous roles in Paris and London I gained international healthcare experience, with projects carried out in France, Morocco, and Liberia. I started university in Bucharest, finished my Masters in Paris, and am currently undertaking a PhD at the Bartlett School of ArchitectureUniversity College London. Having learned about the dynamics of capital investment, clinical pathways, and long-term estates planning, I question the possibility of a simulation-driven integrated health planning process.
