I have a long-term experience contributing to European and UK research projects, working as a Research Associate and a Research Fellow at the Department of Information Studies, UCL and the Hypermedia Research Unit, USW. I have also worked as a project manager and consortium member of the regional research projects CEWN and Re-DrAW in connection to the Digital Research and Development Fund for the Arts in Wales. I hold a PhD in Semantic Indexing of Archaeological Grey Literature, I am a certified text analyst, a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a member of the British Computing Society (BCS). My research on the semantic indexing of cultural heritage resources has received several awards including the outstanding paper award from the Emerald Literati Network.

Currently, I am the module leader of the postgraduate modules Fundamentals of Information Science and Using Technology in Information Organisations. In the past I have taught the postgraduate module Knowledge Organisation and the undergraduate modules; Development of Information Systems and Advanced Databases, in the University of the West of England, Bristol. I have also designed and delivered modules in the areas of Information Science and Web Development for the Faculty of Computing and Engineering (University of South Wales). I have supervised undergraduate projects and co-supervised post-graduate dissertations. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) since 2011, I hold a MSc in E-Learning, and I have very good understanding of the modern teaching and learning technologies, pedagogical principles and theories. My teaching is designed to generate enthusiasm and appreciation for scientific inquiry and research.
