Angie Wade has been involved in the provision of statistical training to medically based non-statisticians since 1988. In 2008 she founded the UCL Centre for Applied Statistics Courses (CASC) which runs a wide range of introductory statistics courses. This innovation has become a premier provider of this type of training within the UK and internationally, making optimal use of local resource and yielding an additional income stream for the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (GOS ICH). Additionally, she runs several MSc modules, an iBSc module and has provided training for MRCPCH students in the form of formal lectures and written material. For several years, Angie has provided training in Nepal and Uganda, the latter primarily for students with disabilities and has contributed training for International Statistics Week in Sydney, Australia. 

Teaching has always been a major part of her academic life. She is a member of local and UCL teaching committees, chaired an examining board and is currently co-Deputy Director of Education. The CASC team is widely known as experts in adult statistics workplace training with an active presence presenting and chairing panels at national and international teaching conferences. In recognition of this, Angie has been a committee member of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) Teaching Statistics Special Interest Group since this was launched in 2019.
