Biography
Abi completed her PhD at the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research at Sheffield Hallam University in 2020 and joined UCL in November 2021. Her PhD focused on Pakistani Muslims living in some of the most deprived areas of the country and their utilisation of informal support networks. 

Abi has contributed to numerous research reports which are listed here: ORCID0000-0001-6250-9070.

Research Themes
Research Summary
Abi is a qualitative researcher with a background in sociology. She has experience of engaging with ethnic minority communities and has undertaken a wide range of research with vulnerable groups including those will complex mental health needs and older people who are at risk of, or a experiencing isolation and loneliness, as well as research with voluntary and community stakeholders and those within the public sector, including public health. 
Teaching Summary
Abi is a tutor on the MSc Qualitative Methods in Health Course.
