I am a Lecturer in Education (Teaching) currently teaching on the STEP PG Dip in Teaching and Reflective Practice.  The Secondary Teacher Education Programme (STEP) was founded in 2007 in conjunction with the Institute of Islamali Studies with a view to develop educators to teach the Institute‚Äôs Secondary Curriculum in a way that inspires and motivates international secondary students.  I also lead on the school placements process and contacts with school-based colleagues.

I also am an Institute Partnership Manager (IPM) who are the prime contact for school Professional Coordinating Mentors (PCMs), for both liaison and support - they provide a bridge between the UCL IOE and partnership schools.

I joined the Institute of Education in 2011 and have held a variety of teaching and leadership roles on the Teach First Secondary Teach Programme the School Direct (Salaried) programme.

Prior to joining the IOE I worked in Secondary Education, with my last role as a Deputy Headteacher.   I worked with Local Authorities on the area designs of 14-19 education.  My Subject speciality is Social Science.
