Research Themes


Research Summary
I am a statistician interested in clinical trials methodology, in particular adaptive and multi-arm multi-stage (MAMS) platform randomised clinical trials. I am based at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL, part of the Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology.
My research interests include:
- Clinical trials methodology (an example article on the issue of adding new research arms)
- Statistical methodology (and application) of adaptive/MAMS trials (a methodology paper)
- Developing statistical packages (an example article on nstage suite)
- Survival analysis and the application of predictive ability measures in clinical prediction models
Some other roles:
- An advisor to WHO, mainly on trials in postpartum mortality
- A member of the UK-wide adaptive design working group (ADWG)
- Independent statistician (and Chair) on data monitoring and trial steering committees for several trials
