Research Summary
I am a senior statistician interested in clinical trials methodology, in particular adaptive and multi-arm multi-stage (MAMS) platform randomised clinical trials. I have a PhD in Statistics from UCL's Statistical Sciences Department. I am currently based at the UCL's Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology in London, UK. I teach and lead on postgraduate and short courses at the UCL's Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology.
My areas of expertise include:
- Clinical trials methodology - See an example article
- Design of adaptive multi-arm multi-stage randomised platform clinical trials (Read my book chapter)
- Analysis of multi-arm multi-stage clinical trials (See my lecture video and article)
- Statistical methodology (and application) of adaptive/MAMS trials (a methodology paper)
- Developing statistical packages (an example article on nstage suite)
- Prognostic modelling, including linear, logistic and survival analysis, and the application of predictive ability measures in clinical prediction models
Some other roles:
- An advisor to WHO, mainly on trials in postpartum mortality
- A member of the UK-wide adaptive design working group (ADWG)
- Independent statistician (and Chair) on data monitoring and trial steering committees for several trials
