- Phenomena at the phonological interfaces with morphosyntax and phonetics.
- Segmental and melodic representation, particularly Element Theory and laryngeal contrast in nasals.
- The linguistics of colloquial Welsh, especially mutation, stress, quantity, and auxiliary deletion.
