Research Summary
My work focuses on modelling Alzheimer's disease using human stem cells.
We generate models of dementia using patient derived fibroblasts and cellular reprogramming, together with CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technologies. We then employ these iPSCs to generate neurons, organoids, astrocytes and microglia.
These models help us to understand the underlying causes of neurodegeneration in dementia. Specifically, my work focuses on neuroinflammation and Amyloid beta biology.
