Research Summary
The aim of my research is to investigate the relationship between occupant ventilation practices and IEQ factors, including: overheating, indoor air quality and noise, and relate this to health thresholds and guidance. My PhD project will collect primary empirical quantitative and qualitative data from dwellings exposed to high levels of outdoor air pollution and environmental noise to investigate this relationship. The results of this research can be used to support other evidence for policy change and provide evidence for input parameters used in modeling research to reduce uncertainty.
