Professional career:
Catherine Borra has a clinical background in pain management, pelvic health and musculoskeletal health, and in clinical research. She has worked in various NHS trusts for over ten years, and has delivered various service improvement projects.Academic career:

Her research focuses on the intersection between chronic pain conditions and the menopause, through a mixed-methods analysis of epidemiological and ethnographic data.
She is interested in approaching biosocial issues in health through mixed-methods research using an ecological and systems perspective. Her main topic areas are women's health, rare diseases, issues at the mind-body interface and rehabilitation.
She has been a visiting tutor for MFA students at Goldsmiths College - London (2020), a clinical supervisor for BSc Physiotherapy students in various NHS Trusts (2016-2020), and has developed in-service programmes for clinical development and patient education sessions on various topics (2016-2020).
