Research Summary
Current research interests are the growth of III-V compound semiconductor materials using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) to create quantum dot (QD) materials for light emission in the C-band infrared (1530-1565nm). Material platforms such as indium arsenide (InAs) QDs on indium phosphide (InP) substrate have been selected as a main contender for C-band technologies due to the low material mismatch between InAs and InP. Using InAs/InP QDs, I aim to fabricate low threshold current, narrow-linewidth, broad area and ridge waveguide laser devices, emiting in the 1550nm range.
