My research interests centre around four areas of specialization:

I have conducted over 20 national and international funded research projects on multimodal communication, interaction and learning: 10 as Principal Investigator (PI), with a total value of £5.4 million, including:

Postgraduate Research:

I am interested in supervising students with interests in: multimodal research, touch based communication and interaction, studies using and investigating video-based research, the use of technologies for learning and multimodal identities research that takes a long view of technology.
