Research Summary

Charlotte is a Senior Research Fellow in the MCPCRD, where she is the Programme Manager for the ESRC/NIHR funded EMBED-Care Programme. Further information about EMBED-Care can be found here: www.ucl.ac.uk/embed-care

With a PhD in geography, Charlotte has an underlying interest in people‚Äôs use and experience of space. Before joining UCL, Charlotte was a Research Fellow on the NIHR funded Pay More Attention study. This looked at the inpatient hospital experience of children with long term conditions with and without learning disabilities. Prior to this her research addressed a range of issues, including improving care for patients and their families particularly around end of life care for young adults with cancer and increasing consent for organ donation. She has worked on studies funded by the NIHR, BBSRC, ESRC, Marie Curie and a number of charities. Research findings have been disseminated through peer-reviewed and lay publications, presentations at national and international conferences and public engagement events.
