Biography

I completed my undergraduate studies in Biomedical Science at Queens University Belfast (2005) before completing Ph.D at University of Nevada, Reno (2010) in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology. I subsequently undertook a post doc at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health working on neural stem cell transplantation for intestinal disease. More recently, I have  been awarded a Guts UK Fellowship (2017-2020) to continue this work and have also been successful in obtaining a Wellcome Trust Seed Award in Science to establish an independent research portfolio.

I currently coordinate the Molecular Aspects of Cell and Gene Therapy module which forms a core part of the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health MSc. Cell and Gene Therapy
