My research interests revolve around health systems and policies within low- and middle-income countries, particularly around epidemic and pandemic response and preparedness. I am also interested in the governance of emerging technologies and R&D funding and governance.

I am currently a Science Adviser at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, leading on science policy and advising on strategy relating to our science and research investments and international cooperation on science policy issues. I have previously worked within the Department of Health and Social Care, Northern Ireland Office, Department for Exiting the EU, and HM Prison & Probation Service.

I hold a BSc in Biological Sciences and MA in Public Policy and Public Management, both from the University of East Anglia.
