I joined UCL Medical Schools as a Professor of Medical Education in 2020 where I lead the MSc in Health Professions Education. I am constantly inspired by the transformational change that occurs as our students engage in this highly interactive online programme critiquing theory and research and its application to educational challenges. I aim to support and constructively challenge students to develop the confidence and capabilities they need to become inspiring educational leaders. I am also the Departmental Graduate Tutor for postgraduate taught programmes. 

As a member of the award winning Postgraduate Medical Education Unit (PGME) I contribute to short courses, and commissioned Programmes. I actively engage in research with the Research Department of Medical Education (RDME), the ASME Institutional Commitment to Scholarship Award winner, 2021. My research interests include interprofessional education and service change. 

Since completing my doctorate in education at UCL's IOE in 2010 I held several senior posts with Health Education England prior to joining UCL including Deputy Postgraduate Dean for South London, Dean of Healthcare Education for North West London and Head of Professional Development across London and the South East.

As one of 1400 Principal Fellows of the Higher Education Academy worldwide, my work at UCL draws on my background in nursing and extensive experience leading innovative faculty development programmes in the UK and internationally, as well as policy initiatives and scholarly activities focusing on interprofessional education.
