Claudio joined UCL in 2012. He completed his Master of Science degree (Social and Demographic Statistics) in 2005 at the University of Bologna, Italy. He then moved to Barcelona on assignment at CREAL (Centre for research in Environmental Epidemiology) as statistician. He currently works for the Department of Primary Care & Population Health on projects about CVD prevention using the British Regional Heart Study. He started his PhD part-time in June 2014, and He successfully upgraded from MPhil to PhD student in 2015.
As a statistician, the main area of research concerns statistical methods for the analysis of longitudinal data, in particular multilevel models and survival models. Since Claudio has started his PhD in 2014 his personal research focuses on seasonal and diurnal variations in the cardiovascular risk and cardiovascular risk factors.
