Biography
I graduated from Imperial College with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering before going on to complete a PhD under the supervision of Andy Philippides and Phil Husbands at the University of Sussex Centre for Computational Neuroscience and Robotics. After brief post-doc positions with Mayank Mehta at UCLA and Yaochu Jin at the University of Surrey, I joined the Space and Memory Group at the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience and worked for eleven years as a research fellow and senior research fellow with Neil Burgess. In 2022, I moved to the UCL Department of Neuroscience, Physiology and Pharmacology to start my own lab, funded by an EPSRC Frontier Research grant.

Research Summary
My lab investigates the neural mechanisms of human spatial and episodic memory function. Utilising intracranial EEG and single cell recordings from epilepsy patients (at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery) and MEG recordings from healthy volunteers (at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Neuroimaging) alongside computational modelling, we aim to achieve a network-level understanding of the various cognitive functions ascribed to the hippocampus and surrounding medial temporal lobe.
